Ombuds may be interested in a new webinar series offered by the Workplace Bullying Institute. The series launches with a webinar on “Being ‘Iced Out’ at Work” on July 7. Garie Namie, the anti-workplace bullying activist, will describe how isolation, social exclusion, ostracism, and shunning by coworkers prevents an individual from having a normal work life. The session will explore social psychological theories about unhelpful non-intervening witnesses to the bullying and ways to break the cycle of silence.This live webinar is free to the first 100 registrants.
