The public research university is hiring a Student Ombuds. The UCalgary Ombuds Office opened in 2010 and serves as an independent, impartial and confidential resource for nearly 30,000 students.  The search will reopen the office that has been temporarily closed since August 17, 2012.

Candidates must have a degree or diploma or ample experience in conflict resolution/management (a legal or social work background will be considered an asset); three to five years of related experience preferably in a post-secondary environment; and  a keen understanding of issues of diversity, equality, equity, and confidentiality.  No salary or deadline indicated.  (UCalgary Careers, Job ID #3326.)
